TIES 2010
Trips @ TALIT Nation

June 27 – July 25, 2010

The Bureau of Jewish Education is happy to announce that TIES 2010 (Teens Israel Experience Summer), is taking place from June 27th through July 25th, 2010!  The Bureau of Jewish Education is once again partnering with Alexander Muss High School in Israel to create an Israel trip where your Jewish roots will come alive while you swim, snorkel, hike, and climb your way through Israel with other Jewish 10-12th graders like yourself! To view the TIES 2010 brochure, please click here. To download the TIES 2010 application form, please click here. (Grant/Scholarship information can be found at the bottom of this page.)

Why is this experience different than most Israel trips?  On most teen tours, you live off of a bus, unpacking and packing your luggage every few nights.  TIES 2010 is a dorm-based program affording you the luxury of living on the gorgeous campus in Hod Hasharon, Israel (near Tel Aviv).  You also benefit from their secure campus environment, access to internet, laundry facilities, their trained nursing staff, and a variety of social events for all the summer high school groups in residence.  Our TIES trip helps teens discover their ancestry by investigating the history of the ancient land, and exploring the culture of Israel with experienced educational guides.

We held 3 TIES information sessions for parents and teens to learn more about our 4-week adventure.  They were:

Tuesday, December 8

Meet the headmaster of Alexander Muss High School in Israel, Chaim Fischgrund

7:15 p.m. at Congregation Shir Ha Ma a’lot in Irvine

Sunday, December 13 12:00 p.m. at Temple Israel in Long Beach
Tuesday, December 15 7:30 p.m. at Temple Beth Sholom in Santa Ana

If you happen to have missed one of these information sessions and would like information/have questions about TIES 2010, please contact Sheri at the Bureau of Jewish Education, 949-435-3450 x329, or email sheri@bjeoc.org
