Back to Board of Directors
Howard Mirowitz
Howard has been a Board member for only
two years, but has participated in nearly every aspect of the Bureau.
Howard received his BA from Dartmouth College and his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to his work with the Bureau, he has also been active in Southern California education as a member of the Newport-Mesa Unified School District's Measure A Citizen Oversight Committee, representing Corona Del Mar High School and the five elementary schools in its attendance area. He and his wife Ellen are members of Congregation B'nai Israel, where he has served on the congregation's Board of Directors and chaired its Adult Education program. After working nearly 30 years in high-tech business development and venture capital, Howard recently retired, although he continues to serve on corporate boards and does occasional consulting for institutional investors. He is a member of the Association of Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. Howard and Ellen are the proud parents of Lauren, a TALIT alumna who is currently a junior at the University of Pennsylvania, and Eric, who will be a freshman at UCLA next fall.
